After my last video about the Anytone AT-D168UV HT Radio, a brand new DMR HT from Anytone, I received lots of comments saying that it was, "the same radio as the Alinco". So let’s take a look at comparing those 2 models today.

I got a battery box from Redodo but I didn’t think it had all of the items and ports that it needed, especially since the box itself will easily carry a 100ah battery. So I hacked it! Let’s take a look at what I did.

During the month of November 2024, Redodo is running a sale for up to 8% off of most of their inventory. Find details here – https://www.redodopower.com/?ref=fXMdlD0D
Coupon Code HAMRADIO will save you 6% after the Black Friday Sale ends.

Parts used in this box modification:

This is from a Reddit article titled, "One of the Many Reasons People Avoid Amateur Radio" – I don’t know if I agree with "many reasons" but the point made in this article is a valid one. We need to stop doing this, and start welcoming more people into the fold. Your thoughts?
