Icom has created the CS-705 software for your IC-705 – its based on an old enough version of windows that it will work PERFECTLY on WINE. So let’s get it installed. (it works on windows too!)

sudo adduser $USER dialout
sudo apt install wine
unzip Cs705_ver###.zip
cd Cs705_ver###
wine setup
reboot
ls -al ~/.wine/dosdevices
