New photos of the Xiegu G7250 reveal the rear connections on both the detachable control head and the 100-watt RF deck, giving us our clearest look yet at how this split-design HF and 6-meter SDR may actually be installed and operated. In this video, I examine the newly revealed ports, dual antenna connections, cooling system, power input, network-style connection, and several design choices that raise important questions about remote operation, accessories, and production readiness.
The Xiegu G7250 is an upcoming 100-watt HF and 6-meter software-defined radio built around Xiegu’s newer D-Core direct RF-sampling architecture. Preliminary information describes a separate RF unit and 7-inch touchscreen control head, coverage from approximately 0.5 to 30 MHz and 50 to 54 MHz, up to 100 watts on HF, and up to 90 watts on 6 meters. Announced modes include SSB, CW, AM, NFM, and digital operation.
Other preliminary features include adjustable DSP filtering, noise reduction, noise blanking, voice recording, CW message memories, spectrum and waterfall displays, network-based baseband streaming, and a built-in automatic antenna tuner with a stated matching range of 20 to 150 ohms. Xiegu has also advertised a receiver MDS of -138 dBm, a maximum transmit current near 25 amps, and tuning resolution down to 1 Hz. These specifications remain preliminary and may change before production.
The newly published rear-panel photos show the G7250 RF unit with two SO-239 antenna connectors, an Anderson Powerpole-style DC input, a chassis ground, a large cooling fan, a four-pin accessory connector, two RCA-style connectors, a DB9 connector, and an RJ45 network-style jack. The photos also reveal more of the rear of the detachable control head.
The RJ45 jack strengthens Xiegu’s claim that the head and RF deck use Ethernet hardware, but it still does not prove that the connection is IP-routable or compatible with ordinary network switches, routers, VPNs, or internet remote operation. RJ45 is now visually confirmed. Worldwide network control is not.
Several port functions also remain unclear. We do not yet know which connections carry control data, audio, baseband I/Q, accessory signals, keying, or power for the control head. The dual antenna connectors suggest selectable antenna routing, but the available photos do not yet explain how those ports are assigned or switched.
The rear-panel design also looks noticeably prototype-like. The exposed metal chassis, limited labeling, large fan, and mixture of RCA, DB9, four-pin, and RJ45-style connections leave practical questions about installation, cable management, noise, thermal performance, and production fit and finish. The final retail radio may differ from the prototype shown.
A European Xiegu distributor currently lists a preliminary September 30, 2026 release target, but Xiegu has not announced a confirmed worldwide shipping date or final retail price. A full manual, verified dimensions, production specifications, transmitter measurements, spectral-purity testing, duty-cycle results, firmware details, CAT documentation, and independent hands-on reviews are also still missing.
This video covers the newest Xiegu G7250 photos, the rear panel, dual antenna ports, Powerpole input, RJ45 connection, remote-head possibilities, D-Core architecture, preliminary specifications, release-date information, and why the latest images leave me interested, but not entirely convinced.

The Xiegu G7250 is real, powered on, and operating. In this video, I’m sharing the first real-world video and audio footage I’ve seen of Xiegu’s upcoming 100-watt HF and 6-meter SDR transceiver, rather than computer renderings of product images. We’ll examine the actual G7250 hardware, its separate RF deck and 7-inch touchscreen control head, the D-Core direct RF-sampling system, spectrum display, waterfall, physical controls, microphone, and what the radio sounds like in operation.
The Xiegu G7250 is currently described as a split-design software-defined radio covering 0.5–30 MHz and 50–54 MHz, with up to 100 watts on HF and 90 watts on 6 meters. Announced operating modes include SSB, CW, AM, NFM, and digital modes. Other preliminary features include adjustable DSP filters, noise reduction, noise blanking, voice recording, CW message memories, network-based baseband streaming, and a built-in automatic antenna tuner with a stated 20–150 ohm matching range. Xiegu is also advertising a receiver MDS of -138 dBm, a maximum transmit current of 25 amps, and a 1 Hz minimum tuning step. These specifications are still preliminary and could change before production.
One of the biggest unanswered questions is the connection between the G7250 control head and RF deck. Xiegu’s promotional information describes Ethernet and network functionality, but it has not yet been confirmed whether the control head can operate through a normal network switch, router, VPN, or internet connection, or whether it is limited to a direct local cable. Pricing has also not been announced. A European distributor currently lists a preliminary September 30, 2026 release date, but that date is not yet a firm worldwide shipping commitment.
