I stopped by ABR Industries the other day to pick up some coax for an antenna project and while I was there, Chuck took some time to tell us about the FME series they have. This comes in all different kinds of coax they make, but the cool thing is, the ends have a female connector on them. That way, you can screw on any of the various connector options they have from N to BNC to SMA to UHF. This is really cool cuz you can have say one coax for portable and just exchange whatever connector you have for whatever radio and antenna you have. Great for wiring up mobile too because the end is so small, it can fish through all the tight spaces in your car, then just screw on your connector and you’re done.
