I’ve been spending the last couple days working on the teardrop camper. While camping for Dayton Hamvention we realized we could do some small but useful upgrades to the interior for storage. Previously I had 3D printed some little storage baskets, and while they worked, they were always in the way when we needed to move stuff around. As some of you may or may not know, I was in Florida last week. On Thursday, I flew Spirit Airlines from Houston to Miami with the intention of flying from Miami back to Houston on Monday. Saturday, Spirit Airlines ceased all operations and I was left stranded. Do I rent a car? Do I find another airline? No. I found another solution. Thanks to the wonderful people we meet in the ham radio community, and a whole lot of dumb luck, I got home. This is my journey.

@HamRadioK8FAE and I tried to activate Okeechobee Battlefield Historic State Park on Saturday. She got her activation, but when I got on the mic, the bands had other ideas. I could only get 6 before we had to leave. Being the stubborn German I am, I don’t take to not getting a park activated.
