Am I being too critical? Maybe my expectations are too high? For a tuner that costs almost as much as a G90, you would think it could perform a simple task like tuning a 9:1 random wire antenna though, right? I second guessed my test. I performed another one. I checked continuity of the antenna wire. I changed the coax. I changed the location. Yet I got the same disappointing results. Do any of you have this tuner? If so, what has your experience with it been? Do I have a bad one, or is this just the way it is?

Found this on Makerworld. It’s a 3D Printed Fused Anderson Powerpole distribution box. I actually needed a couple of these for my 705 and FTX go bags. Only took about an hour and a half to print and maybe 20 minutes to assemble. What a cool and very useful little project!

A 3D printed fully customizable organization & storage system and it’s awesome! I’ve spent the last week learning about and printing all kinds of stuff for my shack. Drawers, bins, shelves, hooks, you name it, they got it. It’s all (mostly) totally free to download, there are no supports needed to print, the design files are extremely well done, and when you put the parts into your slicer, they are already in the orientation needed to print. This is just too cool!

I Took The New Icom IC-7300MK2 For It’s First POTA & Got So Many Great TX Audio Reports! I just went out to do a POTA with the 7300MK2 because I hadn’t even made a contact with it yet. Then so many people told me how good it sounded on the air! She’s a real beaut Clark. During editing I realized I should have brought an HDMI cable to capture the screen. I stopped by ABR Industries the other day to pick up some coax for an antenna project and while I was there, Chuck took some time to tell us about the FME series they have. This comes in all different kinds of coax they make, but the cool thing is, the ends have a female connector on them. That way, you can screw on any of the various connector options they have from N to BNC to SMA to UHF. This is really cool cuz you can have say one coax for portable and just exchange whatever connector you have for whatever radio and antenna you have. Great for wiring up mobile too because the end is so small, it can fish through all the tight spaces in your car, then just screw on your connector and you’re done.
