There’s so much to explore in Sam Houston National Forest. It’s practically begging for you to drive in with your HF mobile setup and play radio. Dispersed camping, deep backwoods trails, zero RFI, fresh air and all the beautiful nature you can shake a stick at, and there’s plenty of sticks! It’s a ham radio dream. The goal: Explore your environment. The reward: Play radio in a beautiful location. It’s that simple. Get out there and have fun.
