The problem is that the utility ground sits in the middle of some concrete with no acces to real ground for the bonding wire. Richard had to remove his MFJ-1625 from his balcony but came up with a different idea. He modified the antenna so that the original coil sat at the top and placed a second coil at the base. He provides Dave with some data from the antenna and asks for his opinion on the setup.

David, KO4RNT, bought an AL-705 with some slightly crushed feed coax. His SWR ranges from 1.9 to 2.7 with 30 ohm impedance. He thought the feed line would present closer to 50 ohms and asks Dave for his input.
