How many times do I have to fix this before I realise I need to replace the whole thing?

Spoiler: PL259 failure

Experimental stream watching the field, the sheep – and aircraft lights. Aircaft are landing at Birmingham International. There is a road half a mile away and you can hear occassional cars. Mostly a night stream and if you hang around, you will see the sun coming up at around 06:00 local time. There is audio.

My First CQ call at 100W in a long time! LOL

Testing a repair I just completed..

Cruising ham radio. NOTE, I can’t go "ultra-low" latency at 1440 however, the latency SHOULD be less than about 20 seconds..

Tom’s fabulous 100W Mobile Installation sporting the Kenwood TS-480SAT and the Tarheel (80m to 10m) with hands-free automatic tuning. Tom also runs VHF / UHF on a separate head. This video is uncanny because Jason has JUST also launched his video on almost the same system!

I’m in Cornwall.. Station about 200 miles away. Just having a quick blast before dinner..

I fix the ground straps on the antenna, checked continuity between cabinet and ground rod and discuss the dangers of getting station ground incorrectly.
