Cruising 40m whilst the wind picks up…

Wow. Even I was amazed with this one! Remarkable antenna – works great on all bands (40, 20, 15 & 10). Ideal 2nd antenna solution for 2 x VFO dual-watch type radios or addition for Hexbeams and Yagis. Great first-build home-brew project too. Delivers better than 1.5:1 SWR with 4:1 balun. This one is also extremely low to ground. Quite amazing.

The new 8-way pulley system arrived so it’s about time we tried to get the tower back in operation. I also took the slant out the yagi. Let me know your thoughts!

I tried to melt my antennas with 1.8kW on 28MHz. No flames – but the thermal camera was extremely interesting!
