The USA has a 1,500W limit and UK has a 1,000W limit. In the UK, that’s at the feedpoint which means with (for instance) 3dB loss in the coax, you could be pumping out 2kW and still stay inside your terms and conditions. However, it’s not just about power. Can you HEAR stations too? Perhaps more complex. More on this subject coming up soon.
Today, Ofcom announced the 1000W limit for UK Full ticket holders – so why not! Whether you like it or not, it’s the "law".
