Recorded earlier this year – it was a LONG stream. This is an edited version.
Original stream was here: https://youtube.com/live/_ZYVtz1bxGg

Some folks think I screwed the board to the desk.. This time, I wasn’t as stupid as I normally am and it didn’t go the way you thought! 🙂

This second cabinet is for the Genius 8×2 remote switch, CCTV, Ethernet Switch, Mains and WiFi etc, etc . This one is from RS Online. It’s 50mm / 2-inches deeper than the previous one which is just as well because EcoFlex 15 doesn’t bend very well! I didn’t know it was this deep when I ordered it but handy anyway. Callum.

I have JUST plugged this in and so far it exceeds my expectation. Works with any radio although deep inside the guts, Flex is supported heavily as well as Yaesu and Icom. But any radio will work with this. You just need an ethernet connection between your shack and this box (and a 12V supply) to your shack bulkhead. In my case, it’s going out in the field in a professional electrical metal box. I will show you that video at a later date – this is my initial findings. Enjoy! Callum.

The 2-element parasitic array follow same principles as the Yagi. One of the verticals is parasitic and is the reflector. Delivers around 4-5 dB extra gain and has reasonable f/b. Easy to make for /P or temporary work. Have one facing USA or EU. Lots of fun. 73, Callum.

You don’t need to be technical to make this work. This is not a technical solution, this is about how to manage your power output on SSB. Works less well on FM and AM but the concepts are the same. I talk about compression and how to modulate your SSB signal better to cut through the pile-ups and get your station heard. Callum.

We have had three stations that QRM me. We have used KiwiSDR to track down two of them. This station is the newer one and we are close to tracking him down too.. I would prefer that we didn’t have to try. Anyway, I say it all in the video. I’m not angry, I just want to understand him and help him out. PS – When I say "we", I refer to an Army of volunteer folks and local clubs who help me out with the DF problem and intelligence. Thanks. Callum.

Sometimes I quite like non-standard phonetics, for instance "Suga-Papa" (Poland) and "George Four XYZ" for an older UK callsign, it’s important we recognise when and when NOT to deviate from the standards. See what you think anyway. I know this isn’t set in stone, but this video is for just some guidance that newbies might find helpful. If you follow the "rules" I find that it also helps me when I’m "in the chair" running a pile-up. Callum.
