We have a simple approach to correct the clicking experienced on the Kenwood TM-D750 transmitted audio. Simply use the manufacturer provided panel cable as your mic extension cable and add a Female to Female RJ-45 adapter. For connecting the panel to the radio body, any CAT6 cable should work, but I prefer ones with a 90 degree RJ45 connector.

We recently discovered that when using a CAT6 or CAT8 based cable extension to increase the length of the Kenwood TH-D750 microphone cable you will hear an audible clicking on the transmission.
The reason seems to be that pin 5 and 6 of the cable should be together and properly shielded from the others.
