Everything I Knew About Coax Cable was WRONG!

I’ve totally changed my mind on what coax I want to use in and around my shack! I always looked to the "ham radio standards" of RG-58 or RG-213 coax cable for my station… then I discovered Messi and Paoloni cable. AMAZING!

**Video Update** The comparison in regards to loss was between LMR cable (solid core) and stranded core cable (Hyperflex 10).

Generally all solid conductors have better attenuations, the fact that Hyperflex 10 has equal performance is an incredible achievement considering it is much more flexible.
Also – Hyperflex 5 has full copper screening – not copper clad aluminium.

The Final PUSH! 18 Hours into Ham Radio Contest | Stream #4

It’s coming up on the crack of dawn, 7am now… I’ve been awake probably close to 24 hours now at this stage – which is the equivalent of a 0.10 percent blood alcohol reading! I still have 6 hours to go though! Join me for the final push to the finish line.

That’s right, I’m streaming a ham radio contest for 24 HOURS! How many contacts will I make? Will I stay awake? Tune in to find out!

My goal is to beat my previous personal bests:
VK7HH Personal Best: 1030 points (2021 – 2nd place)
Cronies +1 Team Personal Best: 2932 points (2021 – 1st place)

About the Remembrance Day Contest: https://www.wia.org.au/members/contests/rdcontest/

This contest commemorates the Amateurs who died during World War II and is designed to encourage friendly participation and help improve the operating skills of participants. It is held on the weekend closest to the 15th August, the date on which hostilities ceased in the southwest Pacific area.

A perpetual trophy is awarded annually to the Australian state or territory with the best performance. The name of the winning State or Territory is inscribed on the trophy, and that State or Territory then holds the trophy for 12 months. The winning State or Territory is also given a certificate, as are leading entrants.
