Made specifically for the Yaesu FTX-1F, the mAT-1F is everything the Yaesu FC-80 should have been. Small, light weight, all metal chassis, 160-6 meters, 5-1500 ohms impedance range, 10 watts SSB, CW, Digital, and is controlled 100% by the FTX-1F. No buttons, no battery needed, it’s powered by the radio, and it kicks butt! I tested this with a 4:1, 2 9:1’s, a random piece of wire, and a road side guard rail. Passed with flying carpets!

Since I can’t (or won’t) do anything outside until it warms up a little bit, I’ve been going stir crazy 3D printing stuff, cleaning and organizing the shack / studio and trying to stay sane. The Only Thing Worse Than The Price Is The Tuner Itself

Am I being too critical? Maybe my expectations are too high? For a tuner that costs almost as much as a G90, you would think it could perform a simple task like tuning a 9:1 random wire antenna though, right? I second guessed my test. I performed another one. I checked continuity of the antenna wire. I changed the coax. I changed the location. Yet I got the same disappointing results. Do any of you have this tuner? If so, what has your experience with it been? Do I have a bad one, or is this just the way it is?
