Video #5 – After interviewing Tim Keen K5DEZ back in 2020, he suggested I homebrew a simple Morse code paddle from a design he came up with. Tim’s design was inspired by an article in QST Magazine by Art Heft K8CIT. He posted information about the project on the Summits on the Air reflector, here:

Sandy and I recently took a road trip to Mesa Verde National Park. On the way there we stopped at the Four Corners Monument and Monument Valley, and on the way back we swung by Canyon de Chelly National Monument. It was an amazing trip. While staying in Mesa Verde, we activated the park for Parks on the Air (POTA) on two separate days. Each day we activated the park from a Summits on the Air (SOTA) peak.

The CWops Test, also known as the CWT is a one hour Morse code event that occurs every week at four separate times. Hosted by the CWops (a club for CW operators), this event happens every Wednesday at 1300z and 1900z, and every Thursday at 0300z and 0700z. This is one full our of one of theses sessions where I participate as a "runner", which means I call for stations to contact me. Search and Pounce (S&P) stations move from one "runner" to another.
