I stopped by the Arrow Antennas space at Hamvention 2023 and talked with Tim Chapman KB7MDF about their VHF/UHF portable antenna called the 52-1BP. This is a 6m dipole antenna for Summits on the Air with optional element sets for other bands.

The CRP Amateur Radio Club International hosts an annual event in May in conjunction with Hamvention. On Friday evening of FDIM they host a night where home brew ham radios and accessories are entered into a contest for judging. I have been using alligator clips to connect my Vectronics Oscillator to the battery for a while. It seems like I’ll be using the oscillator a lot more while I practice with sending cw with my Vibroplex bug. So I took a few minutes to make a more permanent connection. This will prevent the bare wires from shorting.
