Left-Handed Morse code bugs exist and are a thing? I had no idea. After showing off my newly acquired CW Bug from Hamvention several people made comments pointing out I was doing it wrong. I met Vince VE6LK and Thomas K4SWL at Hamvention this year. They graciously allowed me to tag along on a couple of “Parks on the Air” activations. Admittedly, I am still relatively new to POTA and I learned a bunch from Vince, Thomas and Eric on this activation.
This was the last day of Hamvention with my flight leaving later that day. So, we were a bit pressed for time. I had some struggles but the experienced POTA activators saved the day.

I drove to Ham Radio Outlet today to pick up something and stumbled upon a very interesting Morse code bug that uses an optical interpreter instead of mechanical contacts. This paddle is no longer produced but this one is on sale for consignment at the Phoenix HRO.
