SWR: Debunking Myths and Understanding Antenna Systems #shorts
SWR, or standing wave ratio, is important but not the definitive measure. Knowing the SWR of antennas is helpful. An SWR meter is needed in the radio, outside the radio, on the tuner, and at the antenna base. Anything under 2:1 is fantastic.
