Today we take the MFJ-1979 17′ Whip out to Interstate State Park (K-2493) in Minnesota and jam out a POTA activation. I’m using the IC-705, the Allpowers 200w solar panel, the TO Solar Generator, the Gabil Tripod and the Elecraft T1 Tuner – I show you how to get the whip setup and bring it in tune with the gear that I had on hand that day, Then I show you a quick tip for how my radials work when in the field.
