When you encounter extreme weather conditions for a Parks on the Air activation your best defenses are preparedness and adaptability. On this particular POTA activation I encountered very high winds. I had to change my plans and adapt to those conditions. This was also a Summits on the Air activation – a combo. The SOTA peak is within a POTA park. Dan KC7MSU and I hiked up this summit and activated it for both.
