Beelink finally made the ME Pro NAS with FOUR hard drive bays! In this hands-on review, I’m unboxing and testing the Beelink ME Pro N150 4-Bay NAS, a surprisingly compact network-attached storage system featuring four SATA drive bays, three M.2 NVMe SSD slots, 2.5GbE and 5GbE Ethernet, and a removable, upgradeable motherboard. We take a close look at the hardware, cooling system, and modular design before setting up FygoOS, creating storage volumes, and exploring RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10 options.

How fast is the Beelink ME Pro in real-world use? I connected it directly to a Linux mini PC over 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, measured approximately 2.35 Gbps with iperf3, and transferred 10 GB files at around 256 MB/s. We also benchmark the included NVMe system drive against a Kingston SSD, configure SMB network sharing, connect from macOS, and explore why Wi-Fi can become a serious bottleneck for NAS performance. This is a real-world setup and performance test, including the surprises and frustrations along the way.
