PREPARATION FOR WILDFIRES

Kicking off at 10:00 AM, this event is not a formal competition. Its primary objective is to simultaneously engage multiple counties in Idaho, testing their antennas and facilitating communications among them.
We anticipate that this gathering will provide an enjoyable platform for camaraderie, experimentation, and testing within our hobby. Please use the following (band conditions permitting)

NVIS may be the best or only way to communicate because of the mountains. During the wildfire season please use the wilderness protocol time frames (every 3 hours starting at 7am) with the above frequencies to listen for wildfire calls that need assistance or pass along information.
Additional wildfire information may also be found on VarAC in the broadcast section on 40m, during the wildfire season. Please use alert tag "wildfires" when posting.
