The DX Commander Signature 12.4 is an All Band Vertical HF Antenna that covers 9 bands from 80m through to 6m. It is an economical and efficient way of getting on every HF band easily with a nice compact vertical antenna.
The antenna is basically a fan dipole, but rather than horizontal, it is vertical quarter wave elements in parallel on a common driven element base with short ground radials.

You can send APRS messages to/from cell (mobile) phones via SMS. This is great for keeping in touch when you’re out of phone coverage – but still might have an APRS digipeater around to relay a message – especially useful in emergency situations too!

Grant VK5GR will take you on the journey the team followed to bring the VK5FIL IOTA and WWFF Flinders Island DXPedition project to life and tell the stories of the fun had along the way. VK5FIL was the first time IOTA OC-261 had been activated since 2013 and so it was in high demand. What’s more, the three parks that covered parts of the island had never been activated before adding even more interest for the WWFF community.
