I have a friend, I’ll call him Tuje (pronounced Tooge). He has decades of experience in commercial VHF/UHF radio communications. He wants to share his knowledge, but he also wants to remain anonymous. I offered to host his videos on my channel. Bill K0WHW joined me for this VERY EARLY activation of Lone Mountain Summits on the Air. This was the first day of summer bonus points, and the first time I was able to meet Bill.
Bill brought is LAB599 TX-500 along and I got an opportunity to operate with it a little. But honestly, VHF contacts stole the show on this activation. We both had our points in 1-2 minutes on VHF.

ARRL Field Day is a cherished event for many amateur radio operators. It’s an opportunity to gather with friends, test radio equipment, and experience contesting. It’s the annual ARRL Open house, and "it combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio."
