The Radioddity CB-5000 looks like a compact modern CB, but there’s a lot more hiding under the hood. In this video I dig into AM, FM and SSB operation, real-world power output, VHF receive, VFO behavior, hidden menu options, microphone compatibility, and the CPS programming software.
I also got the CPS running under Wine on Linux, worked through the expanded features unlocked by the internal jumper, and tested the radio as an actual operating tool rather than just reading the spec sheet.
