Sean Kutzko KX9X and Nancy Liningston N9NCY are taking a couple of weeks off in late July for a Road Trip from their home in central Illinois to Glacier National Park in Montana.
Sean’s the guy who invented Parks On The Air as a followup for the success of the ARRL Centennial event — it was National Parks on the Air the first year, and you know what that’s turned into — so you might imagine that Sean and Nancy will be bringing ham radio along.
Well, it’s not the main purpose of the trip, but we’re going to see what they have planned. Satellite ops are on the list, and some POTA stops as well.
Meanwhile, NorCal Host Jim Aspinwall NO1PC is about to embark on a major trip of his own, Coast to Coast for a month! Ham Radio will be invooved! Jim will update us and tell you how you can play, too.
And with Field Day coming up, we’ll have some ideas and tips, and maybe a plan for YOU to bring your Field Day event to HamRadioNow for some live pop-up shows over the weekend.

The amount of things that went wrong on making this activation will fuel future videos as I learned a LOT. The first is, when your traveling by car, bring ham radio tools. At least have a multimeter. Also, a tiny backup radio and power source is never a bad thing! Big thanks to Julio and the rest of the team at Gigaparts Las Vegas!
