First POTA ever! Me, my wife Jesten, and our new pupperino Percy go to Castlewood State Park near St. Louis, MO (K-1751) hike the Rivercrest trail and activate a park bench under intense mower and barking dog QRM, using the (frankensteined) DX Idiot and the QRPGuys Tri-Band Vertical Antenna we made last week.
Also say hi to Percy! ???? The newest member of the Mann Fam.

Been waiting to take technicians test for months now. My local club (South Florida area) that hosts testing before monthly meetings has canceled everything through the end of 2020 and they stated in their most recent online meeting that may even extend til this time next year. I was hoping to be up and running for hurricane season this year. Any alternative ways of testing are not of interest it appears. Oh well maybe next year. G.
