In this episode, I go through another returned Retevis RT95 / Anytone AT-778UV style dual band mobile radio to see if it is broken, abused, missing parts, or just misunderstood. At first, everything looks pretty normal. The radio powers on, the microphone works, transmit and receive tests look good, and the output power is right where it should be.

Then we hit the wall: No initial response from radio.

So is this finally the first legitimate bad RT95 return?

The answer is yes… sort of.

This is another chapter in the KM9G ham shack of wayward Amazon returns, where allegedly broken radios come in, get tested, judged, occasionally resurrected, and sometimes reveal a little gremlin hiding in the cable.
