This is not a gaming guide. The goal is simple: take a Windows PC, install Linux, make sure the hardware works, and prove that switching operating systems does not have to be painful. I’ll walk through the installation, setup, drivers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, networking, display support, and the everyday applications most people actually need. The GEEKOM A5 used here features an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U, support for up to 64GB of RAM and 7TB of storage, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, 2.5Gb Ethernet, and support for up to four 4K displays. GEEKOM also specifically lists Linux compatibility for the A5.

This returned Retevis RT95 / RT95 mobile ham radio arrived missing a couple of accessories, including the power cord and programming cable, but the radio itself looked clean. So the question became: was this actually broken, or was it another Amazon return that worked just fine?

If you’re looking at a used or returned Retevis RT95, Anytone AT-778UV style dual band mobile radio, or similar compact 25 watt VHF/UHF mobile rig, this video shows a simple real-world checklist you can use before trusting it on the air.

I also talk about replacing missing accessories, testing with a dummy load and watt meter, and why a radio showing an error may not always mean something is actually wrong.

I put the **Xiegu G7250** on a real wattmeter to see how much RF power it actually produces across its supported bands. Rather than trusting the spec sheet, I measured the radio’s transmit output directly and compared the results with the advertised power ratings. The numbers were better than I expected, with the G7250 meeting or exceeding its rated output throughout the test.

I thought I knew the Xiegu G7250 pretty well, then I discovered something embarrassingly simple: some of the front-panel buttons have additional functions when you long press them. I had been treating them like ordinary one-function buttons and completely missing the deeper menus, shortcuts, and controls hiding underneath.
