Welcome back to Temporarily Offline, I’m Steve (KM9G), and today we’re diving headfirst into some serious Raspberry Pi ham radio experimentation!
🔧 We’re playing with the Radioberry SDR Hat, paired with a Raspberry Pi 4 and powered by SparkSDR. This open-source setup is based on the Hermes-Lite architecture, using HPSDR protocols to create a fully functional software-defined transmitter that fits in your hand.
💡 Whether you’re new to SDR or you’re a hardcore RF tinkerer, this is the kind of project that proves ham radio is still alive and evolving. Let’s explore the possibilities together.

The issue with WiFi is well known to Xiegu. We have already asked Xiegu several times to get that fixed. Unfortunately the Xiegu WiFi implementation seems to be buggy / insufficient.
📻 Use Code TO15 for $15 off at Radioddity: https://www.radioddity.com/?ref=bpajyqft
Known issues with WiFi:
only 2.4GHz supported (5GHz: not supported)
Mesh-networks not supported
WiFi6 not supported
Most of the special characters within a password: not supported
WPA2 password protected
DHCP sometimes does cause issues
If all else fails, try the following:
Log on to your X6100/X6200 via the DEV-port (CONSOLE).
Navigate to the following folder:
(this will remove any WIFI-settings) Now your radio is "brand new" (with regards to WIFI). Next try connecting to your home network. Keep in mind those issues listed above.
