Ham Radio: Let’s take a look at how to set up a Tigertronics SignalLink USB that I picked up at a Hamfest with an old radio like a Kenwood TS-440 and see if we can use WSJTX to run FT8, FLDIGI to try PSK-31, and even MMSSTV to look at slow scan images.

Load vertical antennas are great, they are super portable and offer a high resonant spot for operating HF radio. However, they are sometimes not the easiest to tune for the frequency you want to opperate on. Join me at high altitude for some ham radio run with these antennas. We will tune them and test them LIVE!

Not long ago I purchased the Cha Hybrid-Mini from Chameleon Antennas. This is the 500 watt SSB and 250w for CW version and just a bit larger than the Micro. I all ready had the rest of the parts to make-up their Cha Mpas Lite antenna. I wanted to test it against a Dipole and do it at the same time so band conditions would skew the results.
