It’s an old Chinese proverb, I didn’t make it up at all… But, I did come up with a solution to keep my drawers in the teardrop camper closed whilst driving. I got a lot of helpful comments on the last camper video with some great ideas of how to keep them closed, but one sparked an idea inside me. I couldn’t find anything I was looking for though. So I had to make it myself. This is the result.

But the deeper I dug, the more questions I had. Proprietary digital modes, unclear interoperability, questionable legality across multiple radio services, and a design that makes independent testing more difficult than it should be.
In this video, I take a closer look at the Alervites AT2, explore what makes it interesting, and explain why I wanted to love this radio… but ultimately can’t recommend it.
