Join me on this exciting adventure as I hike to the top of Whitetail Peak with my ham radio to participate in Summits on the Air (SOTA). In this video, I showcase the Radioddity GS-5B, a dual-band VHF/UHF transceiver, and field test it by making contacts with other ham radio operators. I then put up a homebrew 3D printed 28 MHz (10-meter) antenna and make even more contacts, reaching as far away as Florida and North Carolina from Arizona. My friend Brian accompanies me on this SOTA activation, adding to the excitement of the day.
