Welcome to the new, weekly HRTV show. Tonight we will be talking about Ham radio microphone connectors, and just like belly buttons there are different shapes, sizes and colors. But, they contain almost the same stuff.
Every week will bring in depth discussions and presentations in 60 minutes or less. The W6VVR repeater will be used before and after the show to capture questions and comments.
The last week of the month we will have a show dedicated to answering questions collected from YouTube comments and emails and can open up Zoom for people that would like to do a deep dive into their questions.

I’m often asked what equipment I use to create the videos. The devices include the Panasonic DMC-G7 camera, Panasonic HDC-TM90 video camera, GoPro Hero2 HD camera, Tascam DR-05 audio recorder, Audio-Technica ATR-3350 lapel microphone, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W560 digital camera, the Kodak Zi-8 video camera, my iPhone 5S. Software used: CyberLink PowerDirector 17 on an HP Gaming Pavilion, also using Smoothdraw 4.0.5.0, FastStone Image Viewer 5.3, FastStone Capture 8.0, Audacity 2.1.1, LibreOffice 5.0.4.2, and Ink2Go 1.7.2. In this video I show how I make a reflector for a 1/4 wave vertical antenna for use on POTA activations. If you know a better way please leave a comment in the comment section or if you just like this leave a comment. I will use it soon on a POTA and compare with out the reflector and also with a dipole.
