In this video I compare the first gen 2 TD H-8 radio that I received and the second updated version they sent me to see if the original problems were fixed. This radio was sent to me for review and all comments I have are my own. In the video I say the battery is 2500 amp hours but meant to say mah’rs.

This is my regular slot on a Friday using the Signature 12.4 from Holly Farm. We will start on 40m and move up to 20m for some international traffic and we will try some other bands too. Join in, listen in or just chat. Just for fun. Callum.
We’re in the New England area for a 9-State POTA Rove and I’m beaconing APRS as KC5HWB-5 from a Yaesu FT5D that I’ll be giving away to whoever finds us first.
I hope to work everyone on the air!

David, KU4B, has some information on what happens if you try to weld on a Rohn 25. One problem is it ruins the hot dip zinc coating which will cause corrosion to set in. Watch to learn more.

If your Xiegu radio suffers from BCI (Broadcast Interference from the AM band), you’ll want this filter! If your radio doesn’t… you must not be close to an AM broadcast station!
