How do we "promote" amateur radio to others? Let’s face it, we have all seen those images of Amateur Radio and it is these myths that we need to actively work to dispel!

Justin VK7TW has only been licenced for 36 years and has been involved in the ICT industry mainly in Government for over 40 years. Justin has been and is currently the President for our local club who is hosting this Conference, on and off in various other roles for about 22 years and is a life member of REAST. He spent two years as President of the WIA in 2017/18 and is still involved at a range of levels and committees. Justin’s interests in amateur radio are broad from 630m to 10GHz, optical, education and promotion of this great hobby.

Adam Kimmerly K6ARK is an avid SOTA activator and portable operator. He has a small YouTube channel where he shares his adventures in building and operating portable radio equipment from some of the highest peaks in California. Whether it’s the smallest possible radio or the highest gain portable antenna, Adam is always looking for that next challenge to keep his portable operating interesting.
