How to get 9 ham bands from one 17′ extendable antenna whip and how to set it up FAST!

How to get 9 ham bands from one 17' extendable antenna whip and how to set it up FAST!

In this Video I show how to make an antenna stake that will be fast and strong for portable Ham Radio work. The stake has two places to mount antennas like a 17′ whip, ham sticks, hustler ham sticks, Wolf River Coil or even a Chamrleon CHA-Hybrid-Mini. Easy to put together, if you choose to drill and tap a 3/8"-24 fine thread hole in the top you can use the MPAS and that is the hardest part of the build. Links to the parts and items used in the video are listed below.

Balanced vs Unbalanced (#688)

Balanced vs Unbalanced (#688)

Larry, WD8MWS, has a mix between a wooden and metal fence and knows that the metal portion will affect his antenna. He wants to know if he should make his antenna unbalanced or balanced in order to move the center of the dipole from the metal fence?

QYT KT-WP12 25 Watt Mobile VHF/UHF Ham Radio Review

QYT KT-WP12 25 Watt Mobile VHF/UHF Ham Radio Review

A review of the QYT KT-QP12. This 25 Watt Mobile Ham radio for VHF/UHF is perfect for tucking in those small places where other radios won’t fit. Great for camping, hiking, go box backup radio etc. Plus, everything is done straight from the speaker mic/screen. It’s a very unique design, and one I quite like.
