I traveled to Georgia over Christmas break and reached out to my SOTA friends there to see if they wanted to do a joint SOTA activation with me. I joined Doug N4HAN and Wayne K4KWM in “Rusty the Trusty SOTA-mobile” and we were able to hit two summits on December 27th, 2022. There were several others who wanted to join as but had conflicts. On our activations, many of our friends chased us. It seemed like practically everybody we worked was a personal friend. This hobby is amazing! There are so many great people I’ve met in person and on the air.
