We’re setting up for an audio test of the new 7300 Mark II at Bolsa Chica State Beach, a RF quiet spot, great for POTA activations. This video features the Alpha Antenna Hextenna, a simple dipole antenna, perfect for a portable antenna setup. We’ll be doing an A-B comparison to really assess the audio quality of this icom radio.

I Took The New Icom IC-7300MK2 For It’s First POTA & Got So Many Great TX Audio Reports! I just went out to do a POTA with the 7300MK2 because I hadn’t even made a contact with it yet. Then so many people told me how good it sounded on the air! She’s a real beaut Clark. During editing I realized I should have brought an HDMI cable to capture the screen. Would have made an even better video. 🤦‍♂️ Oh well, next time. Hope you enjoy!
