Camp, Hike, Cook. Teardrop Camper Lake Somerville State Park, TX

Caitlin, K8FAE, @HamRadioK8FAE and I set out Monday afternoon for a short but very beautiful and very relaxing camping trip to Lake Somerville State Park (US-3030). It’s only about an hour and forty five minutes West of me so we thought it’d be a great place to take the teardrop. I’ve been wanting to come to this park for a very long time, back when I was still camping in my car but never made it out until now. We stayed Monday and Tuesday and had an absolute blast. We’re definitely going back. Hopefully soon. I tried some different shooting/editing styles to capture the beauty of the park while also sprinkling in my normal, immature self. I hope you enjoy it.

We all have a power supply to power our radios. Some of them only put out 13.8V, some of them, like this Opek OP-PS3005D https://www.12voltpower.com/product/opek-ps3005d-power-supply-30a/ allow for a little more flexibility. This is a variable DC power supply rated from 9-15 Volts DC with a max current rating of 30 amps. It features 2 Anderson Power Pole connectors on the front and one Binding post on the back. It has an easy to read LDC screen that shows voltage and current consumption and a voltage adjustment knob to dial in that specific voltage you may need for whatever you’re testing or using. It’s small enough to fit on your ham radio desk or workbench but delivers a wide range of voltage and has a high enough current rating for just about anything you want to throw at it.
