Using those real-world measurements, I calculate estimated operating time with no solar and with 100W, 200W, 400W, and 500W solar arrays. The results show how battery capacity, inverter output, solar charging, and actual ham radio duty cycle work together, and whether a 1kWh solar generator can realistically support an off-grid HF radio station for a weekend of camping, FT8, CW, portable operation, or emergency communications.
