Are you satisfied with your Morse code skills or are you still pushing yourself to learn more? In this video Brian and I talk about some recent changes we have made in the way we send and receive Morse code in the field for Summits on the Air. We find ourselves constantly pushing ourselves to become better at Morse code. While on this SOTA activation of Needle Mountain we talk about some of our recent adjustments.
This video is a little longer than usual because I didn’t cut out any of the QSOs. This is a full activation in all its glory with every miscue of the paddle and all the mishaps that occur along the way.

This band has been under threat in VK, so a few of us in VK7 have gotten 3.4 GHz (9cm) transverters to get active and use the band! In this video I demonstrate the Non LOS path tests we were doing this (bouncing signals off mountains) using our gridpack antennas. We’re aiming to have 9 active stations on 9cm!
