I’ve been wanting to activate Sitgreaves Mountain for several years. My friend Robert N3BZ recently hiked to the top and activated it. He was only the second person to do so. In this video Robert is my guide as we hike to the top of Sitgreaves. On the summit, I talk a little bit about lightweight and compact antenna designs and how I choose to deploy mine. While activating, both of us encounter interference caused by the other station. This is a common challenge when you have more than one operator operating in the same area.
