** on radio
pico /etc/wifi.conf
/usr/share/support/usrwifi start
/etc/init.d/S99-1-monit stop — note radio screen goes blank
cd /usr/app_qt
cp x6100_ui_v100 x6100_ui_v100.original
ifconfig — note IP address
** on local
mkdir workspace
cd workspace
scp root@IP_ADDRESS:/usr/app_qt/x6100_ui_v100 .
apt install bbe
bbe -e ‘s/ff3f00/ffffff/’ x6100_ui_v100 GREATER_THAN_SYMBOL x6100_ui_v100_white
scp x6100_ui_v100_white root@IP_ADDRESS:/usr/app/
** on radio
cd /usr/app_qt
chmod 755 x6100_ui_v100_white
cp x6100_ui_v100_white x6100_ui_v100
/etc/init.d/S99-1-monit start

Enjoy!

If there are any issues, you can re-apply the latest firmware to your radio and you’ll be back to where you started from.
