Due to the exposed mains voltages on these PSUs, I decided to fit them inside an electrical cabinet. Then everything get’s more and more difficult! PS 12V will run all the field relays and Genius 8×2 and aux kit – and the 24V PSU will run the Yaesu GS2800 and G450 DC rotators.

Dave got a nice Pytes power station a few years back that has suddenly stopped working. Pytes’ only reply to the problem was "It has something to do with the battery management system", basically saying "Good Luck!". Dave decided to take the station apart and give all of you a view of the inside!

Dave has gotten a lot of questions asking if RG-6 cable can be used for ham radio. It is very common for household connections, is much cheaper than traditional ham radio coax, and can be found at any hardware store! But can it be used for ham radio?
