I have a friend, I’ll call him Tuje (pronounced Tooge). He has decades of experience in commercial VHF/UHF radio communications. He wants to share his knowledge, but he also wants to remain anonymous. I offered to host his videos on my channel. So here is another video in an ongoing series of helpful videos, primarily relating to VHF communications, but certainly not limited to that topic.
Thanks to a friend I was about to get my hands on the first version of Alinco’s iconic "Credit Card" #hamradio the DJ-C1. Lets take a look at what set the stage for the cool, quirky and sometimes weird radios that makes Alinco a very cool amateur radio company!

Crazy 40m pileup last Thursday evening (4th Jan 24) here in England. Left VFO is the Vertical Array and Right VFO is a low-to-ground dipole. The Preamp switched on for the dipole because it can’t receive DX that well. Left VFO does not have preamp. Headphones recommended. Callum.
