It brings essentially all the Icom features to the computer screen. I do have concerns about ease of changing frequencies, but perhaps someone will comment on an easier way to do that.

For years the Baofeng UV-5R has been maligned as non-compliant with FCC regulations and a real spreader of spurious emissions. Further, it would easily transmit outside the ham bands. Radioddity has stepped in with the GT-5R which is basically a UV-5R but with a compliant RF section. Further, it now only transmits on the ham bands.
