For decades since then, The ARRL and members of our government have been pushing to move from Symbol Rate to Bandwidth Rate limits for data. A few months back, Rep. When hiking to the top of a mountain for Summits on the Air you occasionally encounter commercial communication towers. These towers can cause interference with your 2 meter hand-held ham radio. Placing a band pass filter between the radio and the antenna will mitigate this issue.
